Abstract
Ferrimagnetic CoFe2O4 (CFO) and ferroelectric Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)0.35Ti0.65O3 (PMNT) composite ceramics, [xCFO-(1−x) PMNT for x = 20, 30, 40 and 50 wt.%], were prepared using conventional ceramic processing. The phase structures, surface morphology, dielectric, piezoelectric, and magnetoelectric properties of CFO/PMNT composite ceramics were analyzed. It was found that the phase structures of the CFO/PMNT were mix phase structure of spinel phase and perovskite phase. The maximum value of the piezoelectric constant d 33, 212 pC/N, was obtained for the composite with x = 0.2. However, the maximum value of the ME voltage coefficient, 14.4 mV/cm.Oe, was observed for the composite with x = 0.5.
