Abstract

The review of ferroelectric switching mechanisms: from Landau-Ginzburg-Devonshire (LGD) phenomenology to Ishibashi-Takogi-Kolmogorov domain mechanism and back to LGD mean field theory in ultrathin ferroelectric films.
