Abstract

Based on Ginzburg-Landau functional approach we studied the polarization switching in finite-size cylindrical ferroelectrics, provided by formation of the intermediate inhomogeneous vortex-like polarization texture and calculated the related coercive fields. The special emphasis was placed to understand the impact of crystalline anisotropy on switching mechanism and on comparison with homogeneous switching mechanism in infinite systems.
