Abstract

The SrTiO3 ceramics was prepared via sol-gel combustion method by using citric acid as a fuel. Cubic perovskite structures of SrTiO3 were obtained at 600°C. The SrTiO3 powder was compacted into disks under pressure of 110 MPa, the pellets were sintered at 900–1300°C and the dwelling times were variable. The result shows that the density grain size and dielectric constant increased corresponding with the increasing of dwelling times. The grain size was about 124–300 nm. The SrTiO3 sintered at 1300°C for 4 h shows the highest dielectric constant (ϵr = 382), dielectric loss tangent (tanδ < 0.5) and the density was about 4.42 g/cm3.
