, , , &

abstract

Ferroelectric and antiferroelectric displays are increasingly rare to encounter in recent publications. Here we present the development of possibly the fastest fully finished multipixel display ever developed using smectic liquid crystals. In black and white state the display has a refresh rate of 3 kHz, and addressing slots of 11 µs. We describe the display, and its integration into a true 3D display.
