ABSTRACT

Inspection of high-voltage transmission lines is an important part of the power operation. Automatic identification of voltage levels during climbing the tower close to high voltage lines is important for the safety of electric construction workers. According to the characteristics of the electric field distribution of different voltage levels of the transmission line, the electric field sensor and the air pressure sensor are used to collect the electric field and climbing height data of 10 kV, 35 kV and 110 kV during climbing the tower. After the feature extraction of electric field and height data, the SVM classifier is used to recognize the voltage level. The results verify the accuracy of the proposed method. And provide some reference for voltage level autonomous identification.
