ABSTRACT
Covalent capillary coatings of diazoresin (DR) and rapamycin (RAPA) were prepared by a layer-by-layer self-assembly. DR worked as the coupling agent. Under ultraviolet light, the corsslinking was carried out by covalent bonds between DR and RAPA. The covalent capillary coatings could suppress protein adsorption. The baseline separation of lysozyme (Lys), cytochrome c (Cyt-c), bovine serum albumin (BSA) and myoglobin (Mb) could be achieved within 17 minutes by using capillary electrophoresis (CE). The covalent capillary coatings exhibited good chemical stability and repeatability. In the synthesis, highly toxic moisture-sensitive silane has been replaced by DR. The method provides an environmentally friendly way to prepare the covalent capillary coating.
