Abstract

This article describes a new measure model to harvest electrical energy from a mechanically excited structure equipped with piezoelectric elements. With the P-43 type cylinder piezoceramic as an object of the research, the output current was theoretically analysed and the output current prediction model was established by multivariate linear fitting method under different frequency, preload and sinusoidal excitation. The excitation experiment was carried out with the excitation frequency of 5–70 Hz, preload of 5–20 MPa and stress amplitude of 0–20 MPa, and the output current parameters were obtained. The experimental results were compared with the theoretical model with the error <10%, which proves the accuracy of the model. The model was applied to the flake type piezoceramic. The error is about 6%. This modal allows the artificial change of the excitation parameters, which can provide theoretical basis for the application of piezoceramic sensing and energy harvesting.
