Abstract

Based on our experience of spectral dielectric measurements and our literary knowledge, we simulate a medium with the properties of liquid water. The medium under consideration is a dense gas of particles in the form of solid spheres of two types—possessing either a dipole moment of a water molecule (1.84 D) or an elementary charge (1.6 * 10−19 C). Particles are bonded via ion-dipole interaction; they generate thermal collisions and undergo a proton exchange during the collision, i.e., interconvert. We show that the selected dielectric, transport and thermodynamic properties of the medium are close to those measured experimentally for liquid water.
