These Proceedings contain a collection of papers based on the invited, oral, and poster presentations at the Fourth International Workshop Modern Nanotechnology (IWMN-2022), which was held in Ekaterinburg, Russia, August 24–27, 2022.

IWMN-2022 covered a wide range of scientific topics:

  • Characterization of micro- and nano-materials;

  • Micro- and nano-domain engineering;

  • Relaxor and multiferroic materials;

  • Ceramics and films;

  • Bioinspired materials.

The workshop was organized by the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the Ural Center for Shared Use “Modern Nanotechnology” of the Ural Federal University.

The objective of IWMN-2022 was to provide an interdisciplinary exchange of information on a wide range of topics related to fundamentals and applications of different materials studied on the nanoscale in order to ensure effective cooperation among scientists and students from universities and research institutions.

More than 130 scientists from 19 cities of Russia and three countries: Belarus, Czech Republic, and Israel presented their results. The conference comprised 21 invited, 36 oral, 12 short oral, and 69 poster presentations.
