Abstract

The silver powder was prepared by liquid-phase reduction with silver nitrate, ascorbic acid and polyvinylpyrrolidone. The influence factors of silver nitrate concentration, dispersant amount and reaction temperature on tap density of silver powder were investigated by single-factor experiments, and the optimum process conditions were obtained by orthogonal experiments. The results show that the amount of PVP-K30 is the main factor affecting the tap density of silver powder. Silver powder obtained under orthogonal experiment is monodisperse with a narrow size distribution, the tap density of the silver powder is 3.71 g/cm3 and the average particle size is 1.55 μm.
