The influence of x-irradiation on the electrical properties of SbSI crystals

Pages 11-13 | Published online: 15 Mar 2011

An investigation of the electrical conductivity of irradiated SbSI single crystals shows its sensitivity to x-radiation. The influence of the x-radiation on the crystal appears to be a function of the temperature of the SbSI specimen. The absence of the shift of T0 and the reduction of εmax in the SbSI crystal specimens during and after long x-irradiation suggests that x-radiation does not cause structural changes in the specimen.
