Effect of sintering heating rate on the electrical properties of Sr-PZT

Abstract

The effect of three constant rates of heating (2, 4 and 6°C/min) on the sintering behavior and the resultant electrical properties of a commercially obtained Sr-modified PZT powder was investigated. A heating rate of 4°C/min yielded the highest dielectric and piezoelectric constants of the three rates. A liquid phase sintering mechanism is suggested for this material.
