Abstract
Low—frequency E—mode Raman spectra of KDP—type crystals have been studied. The anomalous lineshape can be explained by the coupling between the low—lying two TO phonon modes. From the coupled modes analysis it was found that the E mode frequency of CDA decreases as the temperature approaches Tc. Simultaneous softening of B2 and E mode frequencies contradicts with the prediction obtained from the pseudo—spin model.
