Influence of polarized defects on the properties op ferroelectrics near the curie point

Abstract

For crystals with polarised defects a theory is developed which proves to be valid for a rather wide temperature region including phase transition temperature in a perfect crystal. Contributions of the defects to thermodynamic quantities as well as to intensity of elastic scattering of neutrons and light are calculated. The temperature dependence of the intensities proves to be very sensitive to the defect parameters and concentration.
