Influence of substitution defects on the phase transition in barium titanate single crystals

Abstract

The experimental data on the shift of the phase transition temperature in doped barium titanate are discussed in the framework of the phenomenological theory of the influence of defect on the phase transition anomalies. A phenomenological parameter of the doping ions, the “rigidity”, is estimated.
