Abstract
Measurements of the pyroelectric current have been performed in electrically polarized samples of crystalline BENZIL across the 82K structural transition in this material. The results yield a signal which is a few orders of magnitude below the value expected from a theoretical evaluation of the spontaneous polarization Ps.
