Abstract
Infrared reflectivity, Brillouin scattering and electrical measurements have been performed on single crystals of LiKSO4 and LiNaSO4 and main results are presented here. The mechanism of high temperature phase transitions is discussed with emphasis on the correlation between sulfate orientational disorder and lithium mobility. An orthorhombic double-k modulated structure is proposed for the intermediate phase of LiKSO4.
