Abstract

Electron microscopy allows to visualize the domain texture of the incommensurate phase in AlPO4, and to investigate its temperature dependence. We present the observed nucleation processes at the lock-in, which are related to the presence of defects as twins of the α phase, edges of the sample, etc.
