Grain-size dependence of electrically induced microcracking in BaTiO3 ceramics

Abstract

A high dc field (3 kV/mm) was applied to BaTiO3 ceramics having different grain sizes. During poling of the BaTiO3 ceramics, electrically induced microcracks occur at the grain boundaries and propagate into the grains slowly.
