The birefringence of LiNbO3:MgO crystal changes follow the change of temperature

Abstract

The birefringence of ferroelectric crystals is a sensitive quantity of temperature, so measuring the change of birefringence is an effective method for getting the information of crystal microeffect. It is an important experimental method for researching the phase transformation of ferroelectric crystals.
