Abstract

The results of a practical use of ferroelectric-piezoactive elements in medicine and biology are presented. The elements may be used in special medical and biological equipment (defibrillator for activation of the functioning of the heart, various kinds of stimulants to act upon the biologically active points—the so called acupuncture, etc.) as well as for the purposes of its miniaturization. In addition, special attention is given to working out the equipment operating without an external power supply (power network, batteries, accumulator, etc.) but at the expense of various kinds of energy converters (say, the conversion of mechanical energy into electric one due to a piezoelectric effect). This has a qualitative significance for the practical utilization.
