Matrix—filler interactions and its influence on barium titanate (batio₃)/ polyvinylidene fluoride (pvdf) composite

Abstract

The XRD patterns of PVDF, BaTiO₃/PVDF composite of 70% wt. fraction of BaTiO₃, and BaTiO₃ have been studied in the range from 10°-80°. Some of the peaks of PVDF have been eliminated in the composite without subjecting the composite to any external influences like poling or annealing etc. Some of the shoulder peaks of BaTiO₃ have been eliminated in the composite and some changes in the peaks of BaTiO₃ have also been observed in the composite. The results are explained on the basis of matrix-filler interactions in the composites.
