Abstract

Successive structural phase transitions G ₀ → G ₁ → G ₂ have been found in new perovskite-like layered crystals CsScF₄ and Rb₃Cd₂Cl₇. The space groups of all phases of both crystals have been determined. Orthorhombic phases G ₂ in CsScF₄ and G ₁ in Rb₃Cd₂Cl₇ are ferroelastic ones. Entropy change at each phase transition was estimated.
