Abstract

Dielectric and conducting properties of single crystal of magnetite have been studied below the Verwey point Tv = 122 K. A magnetic field cooling treatment has been applied on the crystal for controlling the alignment of pseudo-orthorhombic a-and b-axes (magnetic hard axis and intermediately hard axis, respectively). A large effect of the field cooling on the dielectric and conducting properties has been found.
