Abstract
The photoconductivity, the bulk photovoltaic effect (BPE) and the photoelectret state have been observed experimentally in the polymer ferroelectric films of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). The photoconductivity and the BPE were measured by illumination in the visible range for the PVDF films from the firm “Bamberg.” The kinetics of the photocurrent of PVDF has been investigated. After the maximum there was a slow decrease of the photocurrent due to the creation of the volume charge. This volume charge and correspondingly the photoelectret state may be revealed at the repeated switching on the light without the electric field. The influence of the photoelectret state on the hysteresis cycles was observed.
