Abstract
The elastic stiffness constants C E ij , C D ij and the piezoelectric constants e ij of the high-temperature ferroelectric crystal Ca3(VO4)2 were measured by means of Brillouin scattering. The temperature dependence of the 2 phonons in this crystal was investigated over a wide temperature range from 30 to 260 K and from room temperature to 840 K. No anomalous changes were observed in the elastic constants.
