Abstract

BiVO₄ is a ferroelctric material below 255°C. Recently the rare-earth vanadates (RVO₄: R = Eu, Gd etc) have been proved to be ferroelectrics below room temperature. In this study, we measure dielectric constants for various Bi_{(1 -x)}Gd_xVO₄ ceramics. We find an additional anomaly in dielectic constant. The phase diagram is suggested.
