Abstract
TGS crystals including D-serine admixture at different concentrations were grown and their dielectric properties as well as crystal structure were investigated by applying the Bragg - Brentano method. D-serine admixture was found to cause nonsymmetric growth of crystals along the ferroelectric axis as well as to induce a shift in dielectric hysteresis loop, changes in Eb, ϵ max and in spontaneous polarization. The applied admixture was found to modify the elementary cell of TGS by changing its parameters a, b, c and β, the monoclinicity angle.
