Abstract

X-ray experiments have been performed on single crystals of K1-xRbxAlF4 to study the influence of the Rb concentration on the tetragonal to monoclinic phase transition which is observed in K1-xRbxAlF4 for x > 0.02. It is shown that for x = 0.09 presumably a new orthorhombic phase is observed which allows to extend the previously proposed phase diagram.
