Polarization reversal-induced electron emission from triglycine sulphate crystals

Pages 33-39 | Received 26 Feb 1991, Published online: 10 Feb 2011

Abstract

Polarization reversal-induced electron emission from triglycine sulphate (TGS) crystals has been in-vestigated. The electrons are emitted mainly during every second half-period of the electric ac switching field. This electron emission is observed only in the ferroelectric temperature range. The mechanisms of this electron emission are also discussed.
