On specific heat anomalies of superconducting oxides

Pages 155-160 | Published online: 10 Feb 2011

Abstract

The width of the critical region and the 2D→3D crossover temperature for high temperature superconductors of yttrium, bismuth and thallium families are estimated. The results of recent high resolution measurements of their fluctuation specific heat are overviewed and analysed, and the applicability of the Ginzburg-Landau theory to these superconductors is discussed.
