Abstract
A new process of high purity and fluorine-free Nb2O5 and Ta2O5 manufacture from fluoride solutions is described. The process is based on precipitation and hydrolytic decomposition of (NH4)3NbO8 or (NH4)3TaO8 and permits to attain well reactioned fine-grained and optically pure oxide powders. PNA and PTA properties and studies on the effect of process operating conditions on oxide dispersity and purity are presented. As shown, PNA (PTA) and their citric solutions can be used as raw materials for wet chemical preparation techniques of ferroelectric powders.
