Abstract
EPR spectra and dielectric parameter measurements and electron-probe analysis had been done on ceramic Pb1-x La x Zr0.61Ti0.39O3 (0 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.045) doped with 0.5 and 1.5 mol % MnO2. It was found from EPR data that the increase in lanthanum content results in a successive lowering of the manganese valency states (Mn4+ → Mn3+ → Mn2+). It was shown from the results of the electron-probe analysis and dielectric parameters measurements, that the loss tangent, permittivity and the solubility of Mn ions in PLZT have peculiarities at La characteristic concentration.
