Abstract

Posistors, temperature sensitive resistors with positive temperature coefficient of resistance (PTCR) are widely used in different fields of engineering. Indispensable elements of posistor construction are metal electrodes. Special demand to them are low contact resistance and ohmic contact. Such properties possess the electrodes, suggested by the authors. These electrodes are made of copper-nickel (Cu-Ni) alloy with additives of Mn and Fe. These electrodes were placed on the semiconductor ceramics of the composition Ba0.9Pb0.1TiO3 with additives of Y3O3 oxide using arc-heated plasma sputtering chamber. The important advantages of new electrodes are good ability to soldering by means of traditional fluxes and high corrosion resistance. Of special interest are the decrease of initial electric resistance and the increase of temperature resistance coefficient αT
