Abstract
Me impurities (Me=Mg,Zn) increase the photoconductivity in LiNbO3. In low-doped crystals Me2+-centers are involved in the photoconductivity as shallow traps. Me doping with Me concentrations exceeding some thresholds results in alteration of the electron acceptor.
