Abstract
In this paper we deal mainly with the recent research work on domain structures. Ferroelectric and/or ferroelastic domains in barium sodium niobate (Ba2NaNbO5), potassium niobate (KNbO3), potassium niobate-tantalate (KTa1-xNbxO3), and neodymium pentaphosphate (NdP5O14) have been studied by X-ray Lang and white-beam synchrotron radiation topographies. The in-situ observations of phase transition in Ba2NaNbO5 and KNbO3 were carried out and analyzed. The fine-beam synchrotron radiation Laue diffraction technique was applied to the study of the structure of ferroelastic domain walls in NdP5O14. Some preliminary results are presented here.
