Dielectric constant in electric field biased deuterated betaine calcium chloride dihydrate

The effect of bias fields on the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant along [010] in incommensurate deuterated betaine calcium chloride dihydrate (D-BCCD) is reported. The results show that the main dielectric anomalies along this direction are very sensitive to d.c. fields favouring the homogeneous nucleation of different polar high order commensurate phases.
