Abstract

The calculations of the indirect electric dipole-dipole interaction via carriers were carried out for both the superconductors and the narrow gap semiconductors. It has been found that the main term of this interaction is RKKY like as a function of the distance between dipoles (R) but has different dependencies on dipole and electron characteristics. In superconductors additional terms proportional 1/R 2ξ and ξ/R 4 (for R < ξ and R > ξ, respectively, ξ-coherence length), appeared. New oscillating term with the period depending on inter band interaction was found out in narrow-gap semiconductors-ferroelectrics. The calculated interaction makes us believe that a dipole-glass state can exist in the considering systems.
