Diffuse phase transition in Na, Li and Bi modified PLZT ceramics

The polycrystalline samples of PLZT composition (Pb0.92La0.08) (Zr0.65Ti0.35)O3 have been synthesized by chemical methods. X-ray and SEM studies of the compounds suggest the formation of single phase material. Studies of the dielectric constant as a function of temperature (room temperature to 200°C) and frequency, suggest that the compound has relaxor behaviour and undergoes a diffuse type of phase transition.
