Study of the anomalous grain growth of BaTiO3 ceramics

Abstract

In situ observation method is employed to study the sintering process of BaTiO3, ceramics doped with Si, Al, Nb, Mn, Ti at microscopic level. The development of the anomalous grain growth is directly observed, and the existence of the reactive fluid liquid during the sintering process is also in situ certified. In terms of the inhomogeneous distribution of the formation of the reactive liquid, the anomalous grain growth can be explained.
