Abstract
The thermal (DSC) and pyroelectric (TSDC) behaviors of the P(VDF-TrFE) copolymers around the ferroelectric transition have been investigated for samples with 25, 30 and 40 mol% TrFE. The basic ideas developed to study diffuse phase transitions in disordered ferroelectrics are used to give a phenomenological description of our systems. In particular, the critical temperature distribution function and the temperature dependence of the spontaneous polarization have been obtained for each sample composition.
