Abstract

Abstract The influence of nitrogen atmosphere during sintering process and Si3N4, BN additives on microstructure and Characteristics of (Ba-Pb)TiO3 system PTCR ceramics was studied respectively. Compared to the normal process, sintering in nitrogen and cooling in air for (Ba-Pb)TiO3 system would produce a finer grain microstructure, which resulted in decreasing resistivity and improving PTCR characteristics. Adding Si3N4, BN additives to (Ba-Pb)TiO3 system could effectively lower the sintering temperature and widen the sintering range than that of AST and improve the PTCR effect.
