Abstract
The experimental investigation of light diffraction on the ferroelastic domains in Ba2NaNb5O15 crystals was performed. The dependence of elastogyration diffraction efficiency on the angle between incident optical beam and crystal surface was obtained and used for the photoelastic coefficient P1212 calculation. The possibility of existence of elastogyration light diffraction on domains possessing different optical activity was proved. The elastogyration light diffraction of the enantiomorphous domains in Ba2NaNb5O15 was experimentally investigated. The elastogyration coefficient for this crystal was calculated using the obtained data.
