Mixed model for study of phase transitions in KTN

Abstract

We consider the random molecular field to express the integrated intensity of both the quasi elastic scattering and the phonon density peak which appear above the phase transition in the KTa1-xNbxO3 system. This model is satisfactorily applied to the crystal with 2% niobium and provides realistic values of the cluster size arround niobium as function of temperature.
