Abstract
The main problems of the paper are to be some special features of Acoustic and Acousto-Optic properties which are due to Magnetoelectric interaction in center-antisymmetrical antiferromagnets. But actually it has proved necessary to cover a more wide set of questions: some general principles of description and classification of antiferromagnets, a magnetoelectric effect on AFMR frequencies, etc. The consideration is carried out on the examples of uniaxial (tri- and tetragonal) crystals with various magnetic structures and states.
