Spin waves in crystals with linear magnetoelectric interactions

Abstract

Spin waves in crystals with linear magnetoelectric properties are analysed theoretically. Considerations are restricted to systems without spontaneous electric polarizations and to the case when the magnetoelectric properties can be described effectively by single-ion anisotropy constants and g-factor, which depend linearly on electric field. Coupled states of spin waves with photons as well as with collective electronic excitations are also analysed.
