Specific heat and axial pressure influence on phase transitions in NaNbO3:Mn

Abstract

Specific heat of sodium niobate doped by manganese was measured by an a.c. calorimeter. X-ray test showed the coexistence of the parent phase and the phase induced by Mn dopant. Dielectric susceptibility, measured under applied axial pressure, exhibited step-like jumps in the range of the ferroelastic phase transitions.
