Tetragonal model with 1q and 2q modulated phases

Abstract

A tetragonal three-dimensional model of particles with displacive degree of freedom and interacting via potential energy with harmonic and anharmonic fourth-order terms has been studied by moleculardynamics technique. The calculated phase diagram exhibits commensurate and incommensurate phases with one-dimensional Iq and two-dimensional 2q modulations.
