Asymmetry of Volt-Ampere characteristics in poled polycrystalline Ferroelectrics-Semiconductors

Pages 35-40 | Published online: 15 Mar 2011

In poled polycrystalline ferroelectrics-semiconductors with intergranular potential barriers the voltampere characteristics are found out to be asymmetric, the current density along the polarization direction being smaller than that in the opposite direction. The degree of asymmetry increases with measuring field. It is shown that such character of volt-ampere characteristics in polycrystalline ferroelectrics-semiconductors is due to nonlinearity of their ferroelectric properties.
